Nearly seven years ago, I was presented with the opportunity to purchase the Yoga Centre of Niagara. I had never planned to be a yoga teacher. I had been a life coach for more than sixteen years. I was also a Reiki master. I planned on teaching various workshops on self care, self determination and self healing. I was nervous, scared, excited and a tad overwhelmed. Then through a series of twists and turns, here I am a yoga teacher!
I LOVE teaching yoga! I get to observe people re-connecting with all the parts of their authenticity and form healthier relationships with their bodies! Frankly, yoga has changed my relationship with my body!
I often teach to move inside of your end range of motion. By moving in that way, your end range of motion will expand without pushing or pulling and you learn more about yourself and what you are capable of.
Over the past few years, I began feeling that my knowledge needed to expand. I was teaching at the edge of what I knew. I took some amazing courses and I learned a lot! Yet, I felt a bigger calling…to become a yoga therapist and to focus on reducing pain.
“It is a big step. It is very expensive. I am 57 years old. Am I smart enough to do this?” These thoughts flooded my mind.
As I take a big…huge…inhale…I am excited to announce that I begin my yoga therapy training at the end of February!!
This is my big expansion of 2023! With this expansion, I will need to adjust my teaching schedule. That won’t happen until the end of April. I will keep you updated with the changes.
I am nervous, scared, excited and a tad overwhelmed! What I am most excited about is to bring this knowledge to you and our community!! I love bringing knowledge to life in a way that has a positive impact on others!
And in the process, I am sure that I will learn more about myself and what I am capable of.
Here we go!

I do know what it takes to leap from safety, to stretch into the future with faith in yourself and the universe. You got this Laurie-Anne.
Thank you Dorothy! Thank you for your support!
