CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Yoga Level I:  Hatha yoga based class where flowing postures married with breathwork offer a great stretch and deep relaxation.  Open to all levels with many modifications offered.  Lots of explanations of postures and practices.

Yoga Level II:  Vinyasa style yoga class paced a little quicker than level one.  Comfort with postures such as Downward Facing Dog would be suitable.  Recommended experience would be approximately six months.

Gentle Yoga : Specially designed practice for the mature body or those recovering from illness or injury.  Can be enjoyed seated in a chair or in other supported ways.  Ease stiffness in the joints, increase muscle strength, build bone mass and enjoy relaxation.

Bliss Restorative Yoga:  A very safe, welcoming all level class open to everyone.  All the tools in the therapeutic yoga toolbox will be employed to bring balance to mind, body and spirit.  Improve sleep, manage chronic disease and pain, reduce the impact of stress on your system.  Highly recommended to prevent or alleviate almost all health concerns.  Participants should be able to rest supported on the floor.

Yoga for All Bodies (especially curvy ones):  A class where extra time is devoted to celebrating all our different shapes and strengths.  More props might be used, or postures may be offered in a more creative way.  Welcoming to everyone.

Eva's Yoga Tune Up:  Eva brings an innovative and strength oriented approach to yoga postures.  You'll definitely try something new.  One of the highlights is the self massage with her patented therapy balls.  Pure bliss!  Suitable for all levels assuming no active injury or illness.

Morning Practice with Melanie:  An early bird class that awakens the body mindfully and gently.  Meditation,
breathwork and flowing asana are featured.

Paul's Core Strength Workout: Paul Skiba (www.focusedwellness.ca) is a registered Exercise Physiologist and Kinesiologist who has been guiding some of our members in strength training throughout the spring season.  He returns to focus on core awareness and strength using weights, resistance bands and our own body weight.  Paul is experienced and is ready to welcome anyone who has issues with back or shoulder pain, as well as general confidence building.  Suitable for all levels.
